Since 2015, Festival Filministes has been organizing discussions in Montréal on contemporary feminist issues through the screening of cinematographic works. The project is dedicated to showcasing recent documentaries, short films, and fiction films. The discussions bring together guests from various backgrounds who offer a feminist and critical perspective on these issues.
The project's mission is to promote films and female directors from here and abroad while creating spaces for discussion and reflection aimed at audiences of all kinds. The festival's specificity lies in the intersection of feminism and cinema.
The 2024 edition will take place from March 6th to 17th in Montréal. Enjoy the festival!
