Aline Magrez was born in Belgium in 1990. After practicing video and installation at the École de Recherche Graphique and studying philosophy at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, she enrolled at INSAS - Institut Supérieur des Arts in 2012 to pursue a filmmaking degree. After creating No’i (2016) and Parallaxe (2017) as part of her studies, she continued her practice as a filmmaker, oscillating between fiction and documentary projects, exploring the permeability between the two. She recently directed the short film Ligie (2020), the documentary Queerying Nature (2023), and two music videos for the Brussels-based musician MacGray.
For the past twenty years, scientists, armed with a fresh and liberated perspective, have revealed an animal world where sexualities, genders, and families rhyme with diversity. Being queer: it's natural! From one encounter to another, the film intertwines the reflections and emotions of two artists inspired by this queer nature and the plurality of animal behaviors, poetically illustrated.
