Anaïs Taracena is a Guatemalan director and producer specializing in documentary film. She has a master's degree in political science and works as a filmmaker with human rights organizations. She is also a cultural manager. In 2019, she participated in the Berlinale Talents and the IDFA Academy School as an emerging filmmaker. The Silence of the Mole, her first feature film, premiered at Hot Docs 2021 and won the Tim Hetherington Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2021, as well as the Best Documentary Award at Malaga Film Festival 2022.
