With a degree in cinema from the Université de Montréal and in set design from the National Theatre School, André-Line Beauparlant has been the artistic director of more than twenty award-winning films in Quebec and abroad, including La moitié gauche du frigo, Incendies, Inch'allah and Tu dors Nicole. In 2001, she directed her first documentary Trois princesses pour Roland (Best director, Hot Docs 2002). She then made two other films that earned her the recognition of her peers and the industry : Le petit Jésus (Best director, Hot Docs 2005) and Panache. Pinocchio, her fourth feature-length documentary, earned her a special mention from the jury at the RIDM. In 2016, André-Line Beauparlant was awarded the Prix Création by the Observatoire du cinéma au Québec in recognition of her contribution to national filmmaking. In 2021, she directed the documentary Petit Tom.
