Born in the Breton countryside, Arnaud Beaudoux arrived in Bas-Saint-Laurent in 2019 after studying and working in cinema in France, where he earned a Higher National Diploma (BTS) in audiovisual studies (specializing in sound) in Angoulême. In Quebec, he completed the Documentary Filmmaking Techniques program at Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup. He then dedicated himself to working on other filmmakers' projects as a sound recordist while also developing and directing his own short films.
In search of a 15-day lock-in, a filmmaker finds himself trapped on a trawler in the open sea, where his distress becomes entwined with the fate of what he films. A sensory experience oscillating between anticipation and panic, this first short film has become an act of atonement for a traumatized filmmaker.
