A former student in directing at La Fémis, Benoit Keller is both a filmmaker and a teacher. Adopting a patient and meticulous approach, his documentary films question the way in which men construct a dialogue with their environment, whether it is the culture of the wild (La montagne et le loup, 2006), neorural communities ( Le pas de côté, 2011), elderly people in retirement homes (Les jours ici, 2016), or even children placed by Social Assistance (Les enfants de passage, 2021). In 2014, he created the association Les petites caméras, where he runs filmmaking workshops and supports authors in the writing of their films. He teaches interactive documentaries in the Master 2 Web Cultures and Professions at the University of Gustave Eiffel.
