Brigitte Poupart is a multidisciplinary artist from Quebec, born in 1968. She is an actress, director, artistic director, playwright, and documentary filmmaker, and she initially trained at the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal. Since 1990, she has performed in over thirty theatrical productions, both on institutional stages and in more experimental settings. In 1991, she co-founded the Transthéâtre company, where she produces, directs, and writes her own works. From the bold propositions of Dave St-Pierre to the engaged humor of the Zapartistes, this brilliant performer embraces all spheres of creation. In 2010, Brigitte Poupart decided to accompany her friend, internationally renowned choreographer Dave St-Pierre, during his long battle with cystic fibrosis. By capturing the essence of his works, she created a tribute to the artist that is as beautiful as it is moving. Over My Dead Body (2011) is Brigitte Poupart's first feature documentary.
