Caroline Monnet is a French-speaking Anishnaabe multidisciplinary artist from the Outaouais region. She studied sociology and communication at the University of Ottawa and the University of Granada (Spain). She then pursued a career in visual arts and film. Her short films Ikwé (2009), Warchild (2010), Mobilize (2015), Tshieutin (2016), Dada Creatura (2016), Emptying the Tank (2018), were presented at TIFF. Gephyrophobia (2012) was presented at Rencontres Internationales Paris / Berlin, while Mobilize was selected at Sundance. She is nominated for Canadian Screen Awards in the category of Best Dramatic Short with Roberta (2014) and Best Documentary Short with Tshiuetin.
