Claudio Pazienza was born in Roccascalegna (Italy) in 1962. In 1985, he graduated in European Ethnology from the secular Université Libre de Bruxelles. He discovered photography and then cinema with the aid of Super 8 and by frequenting the Cinémathèque Royale de Belgique (now Cinematek). He has been directing and producing films since 1986, and started his own company (Komplot sprl) in 1998. He is a regular speaker at several film schools. Polyglot, he holds Italian nationality and has lived in Brussels since 1980. His work cinematographic essays and so-called creative documentaries, happily mixing research and experimentation. His cinema blithely mixes research and experimentation.
