Brought up in an artistic environment, Emma studied classical singing and classical harp in high school. She then entered the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse to explore experimental video. She completed her training with a degree in film history in Lyon. Convinced that practicing the arts does one good, she works with children in community-based creative workshops. She also travels the world with her old camera and backpack. This brought her to Rivière-du-Loup, where she devoted herself to making her first documentary, The Camel, at the École des métiers du cinéma et de la vidéo (ÉMCV), which was selected for the Festival du nouveau cinéma in 2022. At the same time, she worked for two consecutive years with the French-language documentary festival Vues dans la tête de... Passionate about alternative creative mediums and inhabited by subjects involving intimacy, love, and the unfurling body, Emma's textural research is hyper-sensitive and uncompromisingly sincere.
