Born in 1982, Francesco Ferri is an Italian photographer, director of photography and documentarist based in Milan. He graduated in 2004 in photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design IED in Milan and in 2007 he studied Photo, Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Art in New York. His photographic projects have been exposed in museums and galleries: Triennale di Milano; Mufuoco, Milan; SVA Gallery, New York. Since 2004 he works as a yachting photographer for the Studio Borlenghi, covering photographic assignments all over the world. He keeps learning documentary film practice through workshops and artistic residencies. His documentaries have been screened in international festivals: Visions du Réel, Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, Trento Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, FilmMakerFest Milano, Festival del Cinema di Tavolara.
