Born in 1968, Jean-Charles Hue is a French filmmaker, visual artist, and videographer. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy in 2000 and was in residence at the Villa Médicis Hors les Murs in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2005. He is known for his films The Lord's Ride (2010) and Eat Your Bones (2014), which were showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to his work in France, he has been engaged in a long-term project focused on the city of Tijuana, taking various forms such as short films (Tijuana's Tale), fiction feature films (Tijuana's Bible), and documentaries (Topo y Wera). The Soiled Doves of Tijuana is his latest film shot there. In 2024, he will present his feature film Sang craché des lèvres belles, which was filmed in the Pyrenees in early 2023.
