Joris Postema
Joris Postema made his debut in 2013 with the documentary FC Rwanda that travelled the world, from Ivory Coast to Denmark, and from Canada to Italy. He also made Vrienten & Vrienten in: Basmannen (2019) and Daan's Inheritance (2016). In his documentaries, he looks for stories hidden beneath the surface. His documentary Stop Filming Us questions whether a western filmmaker should try to show some of the truths about the Democratic Republic of the Congo or whether Western “good intentions” only cause destruction and frustration. The result is obligatory viewing for anyone working in humanitarian or development aid.
