Katia Lara is a filmmaker and member of the Latin American and Caribbean documentary network Siglo XXI - EnDocXXI. After studying art in Honduras, she went on to study communications in Mexico, and then cinema in Argentina. She began her career in the film industry in the 80s, editing emblematic documentaries on the civil war in El Salvador. In 2003, she founded Terco Producciones. Her work has been praised by film critic Jean-Christophe Berjon. Her productions include: Open Hard (2005), We Are Not Afraid (2010), Berta Lives (2016) and I Am Berta (2022).
