Born in 1975 in Skopje, Macedonia, Ljubomir Stefanov has over twenty years of experience in the development and production of documentary and media projects related to the environment. He has worked for clients such as the UN, Euronatur and Swisscontact, and directed the documentaries The Noisy Neighbours (2005) and Lake of Apples (2017), co-directed with Tamara Kotevska. Honeyland (2019), his first feature-length documentary, has been nominated in two categories at the Oscars: Best Documentary Film and Best International Film.
