During his thesis in urban anthropology, Lo Thivolle discovered the films of Jean Rouch and Fernand Deligny, which led him to become interested in cinema. His meeting with Caroline Beuret opened him to the world of sound and image. Then, it was his work as an assistant director that gave him the desire to "de-realize" images and sounds. He leads many projects of cinematographic fabrication with Caroline Beuret, in connection with the city of Marseille and its Mediterranean extensions. Recently, Ouhaib Mortada joined them. Their work with the association Numéro Zéro leads them to see how the cinema can make the link between universes and people who would be considered as strange and foreign.
