For 40 years, Lorraine Dufour has been the driving force behind the Coop Vidéo de Montréal. As a producer, editor and director, she has participated in the creation of some thirty films, among the most outstanding in the catalogue. In 1991, with Robert Morin, she received the first Bell Canada Award from the Canada Council for the Arts for the body of their video work, composed of numerous short and medium-length films, including Gus est encore dans l’armée (1980), Toi t’es-tu Lucky? (1984) and feature films Tristesse modèle réduit (1987), La réception (1989). A founding member of the Coop Vidéo, Lorraine Dufour has collaborated with several other members on their films, mostly as a producer and editor. She has worked with Catherine Martin, Bernard Émond, Denis Chouinard and Louis Bélanger, among others. Always active at the Coop Vidéo de Montréal, Lorraine Dufour acts as treasurer and president on the board of directors.
