Louise Dugal
Louise Dugal assembles, disassembles and reassembles images and sounds. She first collaborated closely with Fernand Bélanger on his work. She was part of the Productions du Rapide-Blanc since the beginning. She first worked with Sylvie Van Brabant on her film A Labour of Sharing (1981), then she collaborated with Serge Giguère, notably on Oscar Thiffault (1988), The King of Drums (1992), 9, St-Augustin (1996), Suzor-Côté (2001), Driven by Dreams (2006). She assists Ève Lamont with the editing of her films, including Méchante job (2001), Squat! (2002), The Sex Trade (2015), Neighborhood Utopia (2016) and La coop de ma mère (2021). In parallel, she also works with filmmakers Jeannine Gagné, Michel Lamothe and Jeanne Crépeau.
