Manuel von Stürler, a French-Swiss citizen, had a musical career in Switzerland and abroad before venturing into the world of cinema. In 2008, he began directing the documentary Winter Nomads, which had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2012. He then continued with La fureur de voir in 2017, a very personal project about the disease that affects his vision. In 2021, he directed the feature documentary Siriri, le cardinal et l'imam, about the fight for peace in the Central African Republic. He is currently completing his short film Le Dugo, about a historic brewery in Marseille.
Carole and Pascal leave for their winter transhumance with three donkeys, four dogs and a thousand sheep. Three months braving the cold and the snow. A winter odyssey in the heart of the mountains, nature and the rural world.
