Michael Bourquin is a Tahltan/Gitxsan filmmaker living in northern British Columbia. For the past thirteen years, he has traveled around Turtle Island sharing, celebrating and elevating Aboriginal stories. He is both a director and works as a cinematographer and editor. He received an award for best editing of a short documentary at the London International Film Festival. Michael Bourquin has been the director of photography for productions such as Samaqan Water Stories (2010) and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) series Moosemeat & Marmalade (2015). He also directed Shadow Trap in 2019, a short fiction film about an Aboriginal businessman turned outlaw.
