Nicolas Humbert
Nicolas Humbert, born in 1958, was inspired at a young age by French surrealism. This influence can be seen in his early works, whether films shot in Super8, writing or photographs. He studied Film in Munich and with Werner Penzel, co-founded the production company CineNomad in 1987. Although with “Step Across the Border” and “Middle of the Moment” Nicolas Humbert earned his stripes in the world of cinema, this means of expression is far from being his sole interest – the artist is just as passionate about music, poetry and painting.
