Born in 1965, Olivier Zabat studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Grenoble. His films present stories from the margins of social spaces and the dusk of time. Since 2011, Zabat has turned to entertainment and popular show formats, in order to explore their relationships with cinema history and the present evolution of moving images. Zabat’s works have been screened on television, in movie theatres, contemporary art galleries and major international documentary film festivals. Zabat has been a lecturer at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon since 2006. He lives and works in Paris, France.
