Pierre Koralnik, born in Paris in 1938, is a Swiss film director and screenwriter. He studied at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC). After working as Robert Enrico's assistant, he made his debut on French-speaking Swiss television with the programme Continent Without Visa and also contributed to the magazine Cinq colonnes à la une. He went on to direct the musical Anna (1967), starring Anna Karina and featuring a soundtrack composed by Serge Gainsbourg. He also directed a number of television films and portraits, including those of James Baldwin and Francis Bacon. In 1982, he was awarded the Boris-Oumansky Prize.
