Quentin Ravelli was born in 1982. He is a sociologist in charge of research at the CNRS. His work mix sociology, political economy and ethnography, to better understand the contradictions of the economic crisis and its social consequences. His thesis, _La Stratégie de la bactérie - une enquête au cœur de l'industrie pharmaceutique_ was published by Éditions du Seuil in 2015. He is also a novelist. His first two novels, _Retrait de Marché_ (2011) and _Gibier_ (2013) were published by Gallimard at NRF.
