Thierry Dejean is a French filmmaker born in 1967 and native of the city of Limoux. He moved to Paris to study photography and cinema. He then began working on the animated television series The Shadoks in the late 1990s. He became the assistant of the creator Jacques Rouxel (1931-2004) for his last films. The Animograph, or I Was Born in a Shoebox is the last film he made before his death in 2022.
