This film without commentary, composed mostly of archival footage, offers a discussion on the meaning of the conquest of space by man and our modern means of transportation, allowing us to question the meaning of the human endeavor more widely.

The space conquest, an attempt to elevate mankind and the dream of Icarus, an obsession with going further and higher. Pelechian transforms this epic into a new visual and musical symphony from which we emerge in a daze, like the cosmonaut returning from his journey in zero gravity. His cinema unfolds this historical fresco in waves and thrusts, repetitions and scansions. The lyricism does not exclude a certain derision and the tensions rising to a climax are always threatened by the risk of chaos, another recurring motif in his cinema.
