Born in Italy, Giovanni Princigalli studied political science, cinema and ethnography at various universities around the world (Italy, Canada, France, Cuba, Argentina). In 2007, he founded the Montreal-based production company Héros Fragiles, whose films have been broadcast by various television channels and have won international awards. Princigalli also devotes himself to teaching cinema, giving courses, workshops, or lectures at renowned academic institutions. Through his numerous collaborations, Giovanni Princigalli has edited documentaries, participated in a project to archive old film reels, and organized a retrospective of Italian documentaries. The filmmaker has also worked as a researcher and has designed, directed, and edited multiple multimedia and video projects. Additionally, he has produced photographic reports published on websites and in magazines or exhibited at festivals.
