Gustavo Vinagre is a filmmaker born in 1985 in Brazil. He studied cinema at EICTV in Cuba and literature at the University of São Paulo. His short films, Film for a Blind Poet (2012) and Nova Dubai (2014), both premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. His first feature film, I Remember the Crows (2018), received the Joris Ivens - CNAP Award and the Youth Jury Award at Cinéma du Réel. His next film, a documentary made with Rodrigo Carneiro, A Rosa Azul de Novalis (2019), premiered at the Berlinale (Panorama section), and Divinely Evil (2020) also premiered at the Berlinale (Forum section). His feature film Três Tigres Tristes received the Teddy Award at the Berlinale in 2022.
