Sandy McLennan is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist. He loves wandering just outside his darkroom door (the home or portable one) with cameras and sound recorders. Hand-processing and printing motion pictures via chemistry and chance reveals memory of personal and state-of-the-world emotions. He improvises with audio from shoot-location field recordings and the physical sound of assembling. He leads workshops giving the experience of slow-hand time and revelation. He has exhibited motion pictures, photography, installation/performance and sound in multiple venues and has received grants from Canada Council for the Arts and Ontario Arts Council.
