Tomas Cali is a brazilian director and editor. His first short film produced in Brazil, Tailor (2017), was selected in more than 140 festivals around the world. Recently, he edited the short film Naughty Spot by Jean Costa, selected at Clermont-Ferrand and Premiers Plans d'Angers, and After The Red by Marie Sizorn, selected at the San Sebastian Film Festival. The question of marginality, of those who are called “outsiders”, is the continuing thread of his work.
"Upon arriving in Paris, I began learning two languages: French and drawing. In an artist's studio, I met Linda Demorrir, a live model. Like me, she is transgender and an immigrant. As I sketched her outlines, I discovered that I was also learning to draw myself." - Tomas Cali
