Matt Wolf is a New York-based filmmaker. His documentary Wild Combination (2008), about avant-garde cellist and disco producer Arthur Russell, was critically acclaimed and award-winning. Wolf has produced and directed short documentaries for The New York Times, including his recent collaboration with Jon Savage, The Role of Youth, as well as the High Line Stories series for Sundance Channel. He also created the documentary components of NY Export: Opus Jazz, a dance feature film made in collaboration with dancers from the New York City Ballet and PBS. Most recently, he completed I Remember, a film about artist and poet Joe Brainard, which has been screened at festivals and museums worldwide.
