Cinémathèque québécoise

When documentaries become a tool for exploring intimacy.

On the occasion of the Intimate Documentaries series, presented from October 20 to 27 at the Cinémathèque québécoise, Tënk offers a complementary program — three films that turn the raw wounds of the soul into shimmering cinema.

A public art, a collective art, an art of sharing, cinema sometimes becomes a space for exploring intimacy — the deeply personal. Often carried by the artist’s own voice, the screen transforms into a vessel for individual memory, offering inner journeys that inevitably resonate with viewers. These films strike sensitive chords in each of us: family memories, buried wounds, fractured identities.
