Helene Klodawsky is a Canadian independent filmmaker and a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. For over 35 years, she has written and directed films that explore social, political, and artistic issues. Her work, screened both in cinemas and on television around the world, has garnered more than 25 awards, including honorary distinctions at various international festivals. Driven by deep commitment, she sheds light on collective struggles while passionately exploring the possibilities of the documentary form. Her most recent feature documentary, Stolen Time (2023), confronts the corporate nursing home industry through the eyes of a young elder rights lawyer.
