Jonathan Roy, based in Caraquet, New Brunswick, has been crafting poetry for more than fifteen years. He has published in journals and collectives, worked on artists' books, sometimes wrote songs, and has been involved in many off-book literary projects (shows, video poetry, exhibitions, performances). With Éditions Perce-Neige, he published mélamine méduse in the spring of 2023, following Savèches à fragmentation (2019) and Apprendre à tomber (2012), both awarded with the Prix littéraire Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie. In 2021, he took to the stage in Savèches, a play adapted from his book by the Théâtre populaire d'Acadie. Alongside his practice as an artist, he is the director of the Festival acadien de poésie and co-director of Perce-Neige’s “Poésie” imprint. In 2025, he presented Déchirures vers l’avenir, a collection of poems showcasing the works of 70 acadian authors, tracing back 45 years of revolt in Perce-Neige’s published poetry.
