Valeria Galluccio

Valeria Galluccio is a performer, choreographer, and director, that lives and works in Montreal (Canada). After graduating in Naples under the guidance of Maestra Annalisa Cernese, she was for three years a principal dancer with the Venice Biennale Danza under the direction of Ismael Ivo.
Since 2011, she has been a principal performer with Compagnie Marie Chouinard in Montreal, touring and performing in major theaters and festivals worldwide. In 2015, she was named Best Italian Dancer Abroad by the magazine “Danza&Danza”. In 2017, she received the Positano Award as “Dancer of the Year on the International Stage,” and in 2019 she was awarded the National Sfera d’Oro Prize for Dance as “Italian Dance Personality on the International Stage in Ballet and Contemporary Dance.” From 2017 onward, she began a parallel career as an independent choreographer and director. In 2022, she directed, choreographed, and performed in the short film LUCE. Following its world premiere at the 41st edition of FIFA – the International Festival of Films on Art in Montreal, the film was selected by more than twenty international film festivals. In 2025, she directed, choreographed, and performed in her second film, ElleX / ElleY, which received honorable mentions and first prizes in many festivals. In December 2025, she directed and performed in Fluire, an original multimedia opera created for the Fringe Napoli Festival.
