Andrés Khamis Giacoman
Born in Chile in 1993 to a family from the Palestinian diaspora, Andrés Khamis Giacoman is a filmmaker and visual artist based in Barcelona, where he works as a film editor. Much of his earlier work in Chile focused on migration and social inclusion. There, he co-founded an organization dedicated to promoting the meaningful inclusion of migrants in Chile. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Santiago (2012–2017) and a postgraduate degree in Audiovisual Editing from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Since relocating to Barcelona in 2023, he has continued his training in documentary filmmaking at La Casa del Cine. Baisanos (2025) is the first film he co-directed with his sister, artist Francisca Khamis Giacoman.
