Anja Salomonowitz is an Austrian filmmaker who studied film in Vienna and Berlin. She makes political works that tread the line between fiction and documentary. Her films have received international recognition, including You Will Never Understand This (Prix Regard Neuf - Visions du Réel in 2004) and It Happened Just Before (Vienna Film Award in 2006). She has also taught and participated in numerous workshops and panel discussions at several international festivals.
