Aylin Gökmen is a Turkish-Swiss artist, producer and activist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lausanne and a Master's degree in documentary filmmaking from the DocNomads program. Her films combine documentary and fictional approaches, often revolving around the themes of memory, imagination and landscape. Her graduation film, Spirits and Rocks: An Azorean Myth, had its world premiere at Locarno and has been screened at over 60 international festivals, including Sundance and Telluride. She is a member of the executive committee of SWAN (Swiss Women's Audiovisual Network) and curator for Docs in Orbit, a transnational podcast supporting independent documentary filmmakers.
