Bleue Pronovost-Teyssier is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans poetry, music, and cinema. Originally from Montréal, their path has been shaped by sociology, filmmaking, and activism, allowing them to engage with complex questions surrounding queer issues, sexualities, gender, healing, justice, and liberation. Bleue directed their first documentary, The Body/transmutationem, as part of their studies at the École des métiers de la vidéo et du cinéma in 2023–2024 — a work that reflects their desire to capture the beauty found in the diversity of human experiences. Their political and social engagement deeply informs their artistic projects, which aim to offer a voice to those who are often unheard or misrepresented. Bleue’s creative approach is an attempt to rehumanize stories too often reduced to media narratives disconnected from lived realities, seeking to spark empathy and resonance through an authentic and thoughtful perspective.
_The Body/transmutationem_ is a poetic and intimate documentary short that explores gender transition through the intersecting journeys of two queer individuals. Set to the verses of Uruguayan poet Eduardo Galeano, the film blends everyday scenes, sensitive interviews, and contemplative imagery to examine bodily transformation, identity, and freedom.
