Dawn Wilkinson is a Canadian film and television director with a particular interest in the portrayal of women and black people on the screen. She is a graduate of both University of Toronto and The Canadian Film Centre Directors Lab and Short Dramatic Film Program. She has taught filmmaking in many institutions. The long list of television shows she has directed includes Murdoch Mysteries, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Heartland, Kim’s Convenience, and How to Get Away with Murder. Her latest fiction film, Block Party, was released in 2022.
