Felipe Morgado, born in 1991, is a Chilean documentary filmmaker, producer, and art mediator. He has been a member of the MAFI Collective since 2014—a group of young Chilean filmmakers united to explore the disconnect between politics and citizenship, aiming to spark social reflection through the power of imagery. He produced the short films Libertad o la Muerte, directed by Tamara Uribe and Amaranta Espinoza, and Fantasmagoría, directed by Juan Francisco González, which premiered at DocLisboa in 2022. In addition to his filmmaking, he works as a high school teacher, leading a Documentary Film Workshop in various cities across the Valparaíso region. He is the co-director of Oasis, MAFI’s third collective documentary and his directorial debut.
