Guillaume Brac is a French film director and producer, born in 1977 in Paris. After studying at HEC and La Fémis, he began his career as an assistant director for Arnaud des Pallières and Emmanuel Mouret. He then founded the production company Années Zéro. Brac directed the short films Le naufragé (2009) and Un monde sans femmes (2012), which was awarded at numerous festivals in France and abroad. Enjoying the freedom to juggle genres and formats, he alternates between short and feature films, fiction and documentaries. In 2018, he received the Jean Vigo Prize for Contes de juillet, a film resulting from a workshop with young actors. This was followed by the documentary feature L’Île au trésor (2018), and a youth comedy À l’abordage (2020), which was selected for the Berlin Festival. In 2023, he directed Un pincement au cœur, the first part of a diptych on high school friendships, followed by Ce n’est qu’un au revoir (2024).
