Jean-Paul Török was a French film historian, screenwriter, director and writer. He was a film critic from 1960 to 1979 for the magazine Positif, and editorial secretary for a time. He occasionally worked for the magazines Cinéma 63, Midi Minuit Fantastique, _Fiction and L'Avant-scène _and held the position of general secretary of the Cinémathèque universitaire de Paris I. Author of several books on cinema, he also participated in the creation of the script of Un mauvais fils (1980) by Claude Sautet, with Daniel Biasini.
