Jennifer Allora (born in Philadelphia, 1974) and Guillermo Calzadilla (born in Havana, 1971) have collaborated since 1995. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the duo creates work at the intersection of sculpture, performance, video, and sound, exploring questions of belonging, borders, and collective memory. Through simple materials and gestures, their projects probe the relationships between objects, narratives, and political power. Their work has been shown in major international institutions, including the Walker Art Center, the Stedelijk Museum, and Kunsthalle Zürich.
