José Mestenapéo is a young Innu born in Nutashkuan in 2009. He already had his own camcorder before the Wapikoni mobile trailer arrived in his community and had filmed every house as well as many people in his village. At the time of the film’s shooting, José was about to start his second year of elementary school in the fall of 2017. His favorite hobbies were filming with his camera and sleeping. Later, he hoped to work as a filmmaker with the Wapikoni mobile or to become a police officer in Nutashkuan.
At the age of eight, José invites us to discover his village, Nutashkuan, and everything he loves about it.
