Leon Johnson
Leon Johnson grew up on a grain farm near Borup, Minnesota. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a B.A. in Art, Political Science and History, and studied film at the University of Minnesota with Prof. Allen Downs. In 1972, Johnson moved to Winnipeg and was the founding coordinator of the Winnipeg Film Group in 1974. Johnson passed away on March 10, 2023.
