Lin Alluna is a Danish film director who graduated in 2017 as a documentary director from the National Film School of Denmark and was selected as one of the New Nordic Talents that same year. Alluna aims to create films that do not shy away from life’s darkness, yet still leave audiences feeling empowered and hopeful for a better future. Her work is personal, political, and poetic, focusing on inspiring women who fight to change the world. She is best known as the director of her debut feature documentary, Twice Colonized (2023), in which she accompanies renowned Inuk lawyer and activist Aaju Peter on a complex and deeply personal journey. During its development, the film won five prestigious pitch awards. Most notably, it was presented at Cannes Docs – Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, where it received the top Docs-in-Progress Award. Since then, the documentary has garnered major awards and festival recognition, making its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
