Mathias Théry is a French director born in 1980. As a student at the Arts Décoratifs de Paris, he was fascinated by photography before turning to documentaries. La vie après la mort d'Henrietta Lacks, his first film, won awards at several festivals. Since 2006, Théry has made almost all his films with Etienne Chaillou. Their latest movie, La cravate was released in cinemas in 2020.
