Director, screenwriter, and editor Maxime-Claude L’Écuyer studied cinema and art history at the University of Montreal. His passion for the arts led him to direct his first feature documentary, 305 Bellechasse (2022), which received the Pierre-et-Yolande-Perrault Award at Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma and earned a nomination for Best Sound at the 2023 Gala Iris. He has also written and directed eight short films, including Resonance (2021) and Dinosauria, We (2023). His works have been screened at numerous festivals in Quebec and internationally, with several receiving awards. His second feature documentary, R. Roussil, From the Ground Up, was released in 2025.
