Messaline Raverdy studied Philosophy, Literature, Psychoanalysis and Visual Arts in Paris and Brussels. In her work she experiments with different forms of visual media (Super 8, archives), seeking to combine her interest in memory and questions of identity deconstruction with her love for avant-garde cinema. Her first film, Behind the Shutters (2018), has been screened at numerous festivals. She works between France, Belgium, and Iceland.
